Are you interested in practical experimental work and metrological testing? Are you ready to challenge yourself in coordinating and planning an extended test program? Do you want to make a difference with your work and use your results to move the test basis of our flow sensors?

Become a part of Product Management Heat/Cooling Meters
Kamstrup is one of the world's leading manufacturers of intelligent metering solutions for energy and water consumption, and is one of the leading European suppliers of smart electricity meters. You will become part of the Product Management team, consisting of 17 dedicated colleagues, who work with all aspects of our heat and cooling meters. As a member of the team you will experience an open minded atmosphere where you will be included on an equal footing with the rest of the team. The team values professional sparring, in order to ensure qualified documentation requirements in our legal metrology and experimental testing.

An internship with focus on metrological tests
During your internship, you will perform practical testing of our flow sensor for heat and cooling meters in our production, where you will spend time at our unique flow benches. As an Intern you will report directly to our Ph.D., Product Manager - Flow Sensors.

Your primary tasks will be:

  • To plan and to coordinate different systematic metrological tests with support from your supervisor
  • To perform the tests with support from e.g. different operators in the production
  • To analyse the test results with direct support from your supervisor
  • To improve an existing test set-up, which shall enable you to provide highly demanded answers to the field of flow disturbance testing.
  • Ad hoch tasks, which will give you an even broader insight into both metrological testing and our daily business in product management.

Based on your test results you will build up a thorough test basis for our program of flow sensors for heat and cooling meters. Flow sensors, which pass the standardized testing can be upgraded with respect to their specification, whereby you will add value to these products. In addition to standardized testing, you may address more research related questions in the field of meter testing upon flow disturbances.

Personality matters
We are seeking an ambitious student with a technical background whose commitment and updated theoretical knowledge can strengthen the test basis of our flow sensor program. You are studying a bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics or similar. Experiences with flow is not necessity, but you have an interest in working with metrological tests. As a person you are outgoing and take a structured approach to your tasks. Therefore, it comes naturally for you to create relations e.g. with internal operators, in order to seek out chances to conduct further tests. Experience with Excel will be seen as an advantage.

You are fluent in English – both oral and written. Danish is an asset, but not a requirement.

We offer more than just an internship
We offer an exciting and educational internship where professional coaching is an integrated part of the workday. Furthermore, you will get the opportunity to conduct practical experimental research trough professional collaboration across the organisation.

At Kamstrup, we focus greatly on the social relations between our interns across the organization and if you are ready, we offer you an exciting spring with great challenges and teamwork. In 2019, we were also elected by Aarhus Municipality and the international student house, Studenterhus Aarhus to be the best internship company in eastern Jutland on the basis of our work with interns.

The internship is paid, if your place of study allows it. In addition, Kamstrup offers several employee benefits, including canteen scheme, fruit scheme, fitness centre, in-house dental clinic, hairdresser and a free health clinic. Moreover, we have an active employee association.
