Do you have the drive and passion for wind turbines, are you studying to be an engineer, and are you interested in becoming an intern for the spring semester 2017 at one of the world’s largest developers and operators of offshore wind power? 
 
Join us and become Intern in Technical Integrity Management which is responsible for the integrity of our fleet of over 800 wind turbines. The team consists of component specialists within different technical areas of the wind turbines and related components. You will be a part of the blades and mechanical team, focusing on analysis of inspection data as well as failure analysis of the blades and structural part of our wind turbines. The aim of the team is to ensure maximum performance of the turbines through failure analysis projects, production optimisation, and modifications to the turbines.  
 
You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. The internship will begin on 1 February 2017 and has a duration of approximately five months. You will work approximately 37 hours a week, and you will have flexibility in connection with examination papers. 
 
Your key task could include 

  • assist with the blade and structural specialists in the team, where the work will be focused on the offshore and wind turbine blades and wind turbine foundation structures 
  • perform damage evaluation for turbine blades 
  • participate and perform failure investigation projects on turbine blades in collaboration with blade experts 
  • prepare and assist the structural specialists in evaluation of data from inspections of the turbine foundations 
  • update inspection and assessment tools together with the structural specialists 
  • assist in asset integrity communication and reporting 
  • ensure correct data logging and database handling for turbine blades and structural inspections. 

The above-mentioned tasks will be depending on your qualifications. 
 
Your qualifications and core competences include that you 

  • are currently studying to become a composite, civil or mechanical engineer and have an academic or a practical background 
  • are interested in working with and learning more about offshore wind power and specifically about composites and offshore structures 
  • have a technical knowledge and a good foundation in mechanical theory. Advantageously, you have already passed composite- or structure-related courses 
  • are able to speak and write English at a communicative level 
  • have a positive approach to your work tasks and a drive and eagerness to learn 
  • are able to focus on a specific task for a long period and show good documentation skills when delivering an assignment.
