Are you keen on increasing our customers’ value from their IT systems? And are you passionate about making a difference for our customers within the healthcare sector, the defence, the police, public institutions or the library and learning sector?

You will advise on and improve future solutions
During an internship as a Developer with interest in operations, you will be a part of one of our projects in which you will work on elements of the software development process and support for our customers. You will be part of a team that does a variety of different things, such as improving the existing code, being responsible for the construction environments, deploying new releases to internal systems, making improvements to processes, analysing critical elements in the code and set up surveillance for the systems, troubleshoot and correct in regards to the infrastructure where the code is being conducted, and many other things. Together with the team, you will help in ensuring our solutions run error-free. This is important, as they are typically used in critical situations. During the internship, you will work on a broad palette of technologies within troubleshooting, configurations, advice and follow-up. We will equip you correctly right from the start, and ensure that you have the courses, tools and professional coaching and feedback you need, to give the customer the best solutions. Within the team we will help each other with the tasks, and we will always have two pair of eyes looking over your code. Which technologies you work with will depend on the team and business area you join.

You will work on a broad range of tasks, such as:

  • Troubleshooting, configurations and advice regarding technically complicated matters
  • Following up on database conversions, integrations, configurations, dedicated systems, databases and hardware
  • Undertaking operational monitoring
  • Developing and maintaining web-based and scalable solutions in Microsoft .Net C# or Java and various web technologies (JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, Angular and VUE)
  • Developing and maintaining independent applications, all the way from client/server solutions to distributed solutions

The internship will last minimum 5-6 months from January/February 2021. The internship is a fulltime position, but we are of course flexible regarding your requirements in terms of ECTS points. The position is paid, as long as this does not contradict your educational institution’s regulations.

Freedom with responsibility
As an intern at Systematic, you’ll be treated as an equal of the other employees. From day one you will be part of the team and help solve the team’s tasks. You will be able to organise your workday and, following a thorough introduction to the project and domain, you will be able to handle tasks independently in the team. We will strive to find a good balance between your personal wishes and formal study requirements, and our expectations and priorities. The most important thing for us is that you learn a lot and have fun while you are here, and that you get ample opportunity for professional and personal development.

You will prioritize quality over quantity
You are studying information and communications technology, computer science, software development, IT or similar, and you will be keen to use your technological skills. As a person, you are responsible, curious and motivated. You work systematically and always retain focus on the details. It is the quality of your work that drives you, and you regard it as a point of principle to understand complex solutions and the customer’s challenges.

You will have knowledge of one or more of these technologies/processes:

  • SOA, Service Bus and service orchestration
  • Web Service technology (REST, SOAP and WS-*)
  • XML technology (OIOXML, XSD, XPath and XQuery)
  • Information management and storage (SQL Server, Oracle and Hibernate)
  • Microsoft technology (WCF, WPF and WWF)
  • UML user scenarios and Design Patterns
  • Scrum, Kanban, ITIL

It is not a requirement that you have experience with all the technologies or methods, but a good knowledge of one or more would certainly be an advantage.

We work with security-classified projects, and therefore, you as an employee at Systematic need to have security clearance. Read more here: http://systematic.com/clearance.
