International Area Sales Manager, Emission Control Systems

Who we are
We are a dynamic team in GEA Process Engineering’s Chemical Division working worldwide with delivery of Spray Drying Absorption (SDA) systems within the power and waste-to-energy sector as well as in industrial flue gas cleaning. We cooperate with a global network of selected partners to deliver SDA plants to our customers with a maximum of local supply.
The GEA SDA team located in Soeborg, Denmark, is responsible for process design and supply as well as core components. We support our partners in exploring the markets and the opportunities in a direct dialogue with the customers and assist them during the start-up and commissioning phase of the projects.
We are continuously improving the SDA process and solutions through customer feedback, R&D as well as process optimizations using our in-house CFD tools. In order to maintain and increase our market share we are now looking for a new Area Sales Manager.
You will mainly be responsible within a certain international market area to have close contacts with our licensees and partners and to explore and develop new market opportunities in close collaboration with GEA’s local Regions & Country representations. You will have direct customer contact and coordinate technical and commercial communication with our partners, which includes preparation of quotations for supply and services. You may from time to time be involved in plant site support, technically and process wise.
Being a world market leader within spray drying absorption our customers and partners expect that we are experts within our field, which as well counts for an Area Sales Manager. Based on your educational background as chemical engineer, mechanical engineer or marine engineer we will establish a training program to introduce you to the specifics of our technology and offerings.
You will also be responsible for development of new markets, which you as prime mover will develop independently or in a supporting role in collaboration with GEA’s local representations.
Your job will require international travelling 40-60 days per year.
To succeed it is essential that you
- are a strong communicator with commercial insight
- hold a degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or you are an experienced marine engineer.
- have more than 5 years’ experience from the power/waste-to-energy industry or other relevant industries. Alternatively, you have a similar length of experience from supplying flue gas path solutions to customers within relevant segments.
- have a deep interest in technical and process areas and are able to combine your commercial knowledge and technical skills in this commercial oriented job.
- master English on high level and are able to carry out negotiations in English in foreign cultures.
As you simultaneously will work on several opportunities we expect that you organize your work accordingly, and build up and manage your pipeline projects valued between EUR 0.5m and 2.0m in our CRM system.
