We are looking for an Intern to help integrate and implement our API Strategy and to support the digital transformation of Novo Nordisk. You will be part of delivering the foundational IT capabilities required for Novo Nordisk to succeed with an ambitious transformation of our entire business process landscape. 

The position 
Digitalisation is on top of the agenda in Novo Nordisk and as our new Intern you will play a key role in influencing and implementing our Integration and API strategy, in close collaboration with the rest of the integration tiger team.
 

Novo Nordisk has a hybrid IT landscape - with a broad mix of SaaS, PaaS, on-prem standard and homegrown systems - while building our new digital enablement layer on top of AWS, Azure and a few other critical SaaS/PaaS providers.
We aspire to create an integration centre for enablement, empowering any developer in Novo Nordisk to contribute with new APIs or use the APIs already developed by others, while adhering to our integration principles that we define together with our Enterprise Architecture function.
 
As an intern within Global IT you will:

Work closely together with developers in SCRUM teams to ensure smooth on-boarding and usage of the API management and integration 
Support the development and implementation of the API & integration services that Global IT offer.
Work closely with Solution Architect to support the design of API layers, data model and API specifications
 

The Internship

  • Internship period: 6 months
  • Working hours: 37 hours a week
  • Start date: January or February 2021
  • Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows
  • A Danish full-time work permit is required
  • Fluent English is required for this position 
  • The position is located in Bagsværd, Denmark
     

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate that has an interest in learning more about the technical aspects of APIs. You are currently pursuing a master’s degree within the field of Computer Science or Software Development or other related fields. Preferably you have already some experience with APIs & system integration.
As a person you a curious about technology and eager to solve problems. We treasure the positive atmosphere in our team and count on you to engage and participate in a positive manner. 
 
Novo Nordisk has chosen MuleSoft as the preferred IPaaS and API gateway. Necessary training and introduction to the platform will be part of the onboarding. Other core platforms/technologies in Novo Nordisk that you will have an opportunity to learn more about: SAP, AWS, Azure, SalesForce and ServiceNow.
 

You might already have some experience and would like to learn more about:

  • API management
  • REST based API development
  • Micro-services architecture and APIs
  • Security and Authentication
  • 3 Layer API methodology
