Ambu’s display unit project management team is looking for a new colleague who can take the lead on our newly launched aBox 2 and to deliver new endoscope compatibilities, features and functionalities, incrementally, to the products in the market.

The aBox 2 is not only a display unit. It is the platform (HW/SW/Image processing) that is connecting to all our single-use endoscopes to deliver high quality images and image processing supporting the doctors deliver superior patient care across medical areas of Rhinolaryngology, Pulmonology, Urology andGastrointestinal tract. Ambu vision is to deliver immediate value creation to our users while the visualization technologies evolve. Hence, your task is to deliver state of the art software and hardware to our existing installed base, learn from the direct and prompt feedback you will receive and incrementally adapt the product, accordingly.

Ambu’s innovation speed is exceptional which has positioned us as firstmover and worlds largest single use endoscopy provider. We are eager to keep this position by constantly challenging status quo together to scale our processes as well as technologies.

Managing display unit projects involve a substantial amount of coordination between cross-fuctional areas. You will lead the collaboration of specialists within Clinical, Regulatory, risk management, HW, SW, algorithm development etc.. Empathy and a broard undarstanding within the respective areas will lead you to success in this position. You are closely supported by system engineers and system architects to take the right technical decisions to mitigate the project risks. Also a sponsor team of 4 cross-functional managers will support and coach you in grasping this complexity and in the decision process.

Experience with project management in the medical device industry It is key that you:

1. Have a track record in leading cross-functional project teams.

2. Have experience with medical device development and the associated standards/regulations.

3. Have a technical mindset to engage and understand best practices in hardware and software development.

4. Have an understanding of Agile as well as Design Thinking pratices is recommended.

As a person you are self-motivated, structured and have a strong sense of responsibility towards your work and your team members. You are open-minded and you use your great interpersonal skills in your daily work to drive the projects and motivating the project team members. You probably hold a degree in engineering and more than 5 years of solid experience within medical device project execution.

It is a requirement that you are fluent in oral and written English and that you thrive in a position that gives you the opportunity to travel 10-20 days per year.
