Would you like to be part of the one of the fastest growing MedTech companies in the world? Then your next career move may be with us as Innovation Project Manager.

We are expanding our project management team and are looking for an experienced project manager with a technical background and proven track record in leading medical device product development. Our focus in on developing, improving, and maintaining the medical devices within our product categories Anaesthesia, Neurology, Cardiology as well as Emergency Care and Training. Our dedicated R&D unit is part of Ambu’s Global Innovation organization that consists of over 300 people on multiple sites around the world. We have a great innovation culture and a clear focus on short time from idea to product launch. We focus on developing new products and production processes that combine several technologies in new and innovative ways. This sets high demands to your project management skills, business and technical understanding, and broad medical device development experience.

Global, user-driven innovation – from idea to launch
As Innovation Project Manager, you will be a key player in the development of Ambu’s medical devices –usually all the way from initial idea to implementation in one of production sites and product launch. We work according to the Product Innovation Process – our phase-gate product development and governance model. Our product development methods emphasize a high degree of user and customer involvement and a part of the job is therefore to meet the medical professionals at their locations in operating rooms, intensive care units or pre-hospital settings. One of your primary roles will be to establish and maintain a motivating and collaborative working environment for the global project team. We work with an agile mindset, a high level of integrity and honesty, and we focus on helping each other as a team in accomplishing the project goals. You will have close collaboration with many stakeholders globally besides the project team. Some of your primary stakeholders are in the assigned Project Sponsor Team – a project specific team of 4 cross-functional managers that guides and supports you and the project.

Experience with global project management in the medical device industry
It is key that you are able to use your solid business understanding to discuss market issues in detail, that you are able to contribute in technical design and documentation discussions, and that you are able to ensure compliance with international standards for medical devices. As a person you are self-motivated, committed, structured, and have a strong sense of responsibility towards your work and your team members. You are open-minded and you use your great interpersonal skills in your daily work to drive the projects and motivating the project team members. You probably hold a degree in engineering and have work experience that will support decision-making and overcoming challenges during the project. We expect that you have at least 3-5 years of solid experience within medical device project management. It is a requirement that you are fluent in oral and written English and that you thrive in a position that gives you the opportunity to travel about 30 days per year.
