Are you able to manage medical device projects in a global setup? Do you have experience working with international standards for medical devices? And do you have a strong business drive? We are looking for an experienced project manager with a technical background to head our future innovation projects. You will be part of the Innovation Project Management team – today consisting of six Innovation Project Managers and two Innovation Process Specialists.

We continuously improve the way we work with projects and associated processes. We are committed to managing and motivating project teams to create new products that are valuable for the user.

At our headquarters in Ballerup, we have an effective innovation culture where we develop our new medical devices. We have a tradition for fast completion of projects and you will experience a clear link between your results and Ambu’s growth. We focus on developing new products and production processes that combine several technologies in new and innovative ways. This sets high demands to your project management skills, adaptability, technical understanding, and broad medical device experience.

Global, user-driven innovation - from idea generation to implementation
As Innovation Project Manager, you will be a key player in the development of our new devices - from initial idea to the implementation in the production site. Our product development process is customer focused and a part of the job is therefore to meet the medical professionals at their locations in operating rooms, intensive care units or pre-hospital settings.

At Ambu, the product development takes place in close collaboration with various departments and stakeholders. A central part of the job is to establish a motivating and collaborative working environment within the global project team and to ensure that the project is executed as agreed with management.

Experience with global project management in the medical device industry
It is key that you are able to use your solid business understanding to discuss market issues in detail, that you are able to contribute in technical discussions, and that you are able to ensure compliance with international standards.

As a person you are self-motivated, committed, structured and have a strong sense of responsibility towards your work and your team members. You are open-minded and you use your great interpersonal skills in your daily work to drive the projects and motivate the project team members.

You probably hold a degree in engineering and have technical work experience that will support decision-making and challenges during the project. You have at least 3-5 years of solid experience in project management within medical device product development from the medical device industry or from a consultancy that deals with the medical device field. It is an advantage if you hold an accredited project management certification.

It is a requirement that you are fluent in oral and written English and that you thrive in a position that gives you the opportunity to travel about 30 days per year.
