Innovation Project Manager - Displaying Units

We are looking for a project manager to lead our Displaying Unit projects. You will be part of the Innovation Project Management team within Global Innovation where your primary focus will be to ensure development of our future display devices which is a crucial part of our visualisation product systems.

We have an effective innovation culture located at our headquarters in Ballerup where we develop our new medical devices. We focus on fast development of new products that combine several technologies in new and innovative ways. This will set high demands to your project management and leadership skills, technical understanding and broad product development experience.

Global user-driven innovation - from idea generation to implementation
As Innovation Project Manager for our Displaying Unit projects you will be responsible for driving technical and business-oriented project management of global product development. This includes developing, documenting, implementing and taking it to the market. Together with your project team consisting of mechanical, software, imaging and electronics competencies you will develop our next displaying units that are essential for our future strategy. A part of the job is to ensure that the project documentation is in compliance so it is important that you have experience in documentation requirements for medical devices including software and electronics.

Our product development process is customer-driven and a part of the job is therefore to meet the customers on their locations in operating rooms or pre-hospital settings.
Our projects are driven in close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders. Internally you will work with experts in various departments across our sites and externally together with development and manufacturing partners and consultants.

An important part of the job is to establish a motivating working environment and collaboration in the project teams worldwide and build up good relations to our external development partners and consultants.

Experience with global project management in the medical device industry
As you will be involved in technical as well as business issues in detail, it is vital that you have strong business and technical understanding within medical products containing both mechanics, electronics and software.

It is important that you have great team management skills and that you have a good understanding of international collaboration. You lead your team through motivation and your strong drive and you are able to set a positive and winning culture for the project team. As a person you are self-motivated, committed, structured and have a strong sense of responsibility towards your work. You are open-minded and trustworthy.

You probably hold a degree in engineering and have a background in product development from the medical device industry or from a consultancy that deals with the medical device field. You have at least 5 years of solid experience in managing similar product development projects and you may even hold an accredited project management certification. In addition, it is important that you have a good understanding of the standard for medical device software and electrical safety of medical equipment.

As you will be working with users and development partners across the world it is vital for us that you are experienced in cross-cultural collaboration. You must be fluent in written and oral English and you must be able to travel approximately 30-40 days per year.
