Industry Technology Specialist, Baking, Technical Services, Europe

For our Novozymes Innovation Campus in Lyngby, Denmark, we seek an Industry Technology Specialist for our Baking industry. In this interesting position, you will become part of our European Technical Service team collaborating closely with our colleagues in sales and marketing to provide world class technical support and innovative solutions to Novozymes’ customers.

You will play a key role in understanding customer needs and be responsible for initiating and leading technical activities to regional and global key accounts. In close cooperation with R&D, sales and marketing, you will ensure professional technical support and provide innovative solutions for our customers.

You will create solid business cases together with our customers and evaluate, plan and carry out projects from laboratory to industrial scale at Novozymes and our clients and partners.

You will support the test marketing, the launching of new products and you are capable of writing technical articles and giving speeches at industry conferences. Frequent traveling and customer meetings in Europe will be part of your daily work/responsibility.

You will report to the Manager Technical Service for Food & Baking in Europe.

In this position you need to:
Hold a scientific background with a university degree (MSc or PhD) in Food Science
Have a strong understanding of the baking industry and working experience with new product development in the FMCG area
Apply principles of baking ingredients, enzymology, project management and economics to develop new, innovative and improved methods for our customers
Have a broader understanding of baking processing in general
Have a strong customer and team orientation, a commercial mindset combined with great English communication skills are required, possibly supplemented with additional language qualifications (e.g. French, Spanish and/or German)
Be able to travel (30% of your time)
