EXTEND YOUR POTENTIAL WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS
We are looking for a PhD student to join our team in Aalborg. It will give you the opportunity to directly impact and shape the direction of Denmark's green energy transition.

This research project aims to provide concrete guidelines on how different direct air capture (DAC) technologies can efficiently be deployed in the Danish energy system. It includes the development of thermodynamics models of multiple DAC technologies to calculate mass and energy balances, as well as establishing simulation tools which are able to analyse the impact of DAC on energy systems.

The project will be in collaboration with Aalborg University.

As a PhD student –

  • Your main responsibilities will be to deliver COWI’s input to the research project and to pursue your doctoral studies.
  • You are expected to develop your own scientific concepts and communicate the results of your research verbally and in writing.
  • You will be part of COWI’s Green Fuels team with an excellent opportunity to learn and share knowledge.

In addition to the research project, you will be involved in other relevant projects to the extent that time allows for it. This will enable you to develop a network within COWI, learn from real life projects, and ensure that you can incorporate perspectives from many different disciplines.
