Imagine a future where you drive the global growth of P2X for one of the world’s most sustainable companies

Join us in this role where you’ll be a key member of the P2X team, delivering world-class projects across geographies and technologies. The global P2X industry is in exponential growth, and your leadership will be essential to drive our portfolio of P2X projects in the development phase. P2X produces renewable hydrogen and fuels using electricity generated by clean energy sources, such as wind and solar. These technologies will be crucial to achieving the world’s decarbonisation goals, and we’re taking a leading role in the journey.

Welcome to P2X - a separate business unit in Ørsted
You’ll be part of the P2X Project Development and Technology team where you’ll be responsible for and leading the strong team of project development managers located in Germany, Denmark, the US, and the Netherlands. Our mission is to develop the best P2X investment opportunities. You and your team of senior project managers will mature projects from early idea phase up until the mature technical and commercial stage ready for investment decision. We offer a unique opportunity to be part of a growing innovative team backed by a large global organisation. Each team member plays multiple roles – with value creation as the common objective.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • recruiting, onboarding, retaining, and developing our project development competencies in P2X
  • continuously building and improving the processes and tools needed to drive efficiency, e.g., refining our project model for the project development phase
  • leading leaders, creating a supportive environment to efficiently progress the projects, and maintaining a project organisation where the employees thrive and grow
  • resourcing the development projects
  • building and sharing P2X knowledge between individuals and across the project portfolio.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have successfully completed a degree in engineering or other relevant education, incl. experience in PMI, Prince2, or other project management frameworks
  • have experience in running large physical infrastructure projects from early development phase till FID - it’s a plus if you have experience from execution and operations of process plants
  • have experience in leading leaders in a project development organisation and have been working as senior manager in a project company with successful track record
  • have experience with opportunity framing sessions, scoping sessions, or other forms of project development tools
  • have experience in agile project management, breaking the project into several phases, and adapting and improving the project as it goes along
  • have a very structured approach to your daily work.
