We are looking for our next Head of Plant for our flagship blade plant in Aalborg. The Aalborg plant is one of our most important sites in terms of technology and revenue, and you will report to the company’s Offshore Head of Manufacturing.

As Head of Plant, you will be in in charge of the following departments: Production, Health, Safety and Environment, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance, Project Management, Operational Excellence, Order and operational supply management as well as Logistics and dispatch. There are just over 1150 employees at the site; of which close to 1000 are Blue Collars, with the remainder being White Collars and Apprentices.

How to contribute to our vision
As our Head of Plant you have operational responsibility for daily business. Alongside this, the role of Head of Plant includes highly strategic components in supporting the continued development of plant processes and projects.

Your responsibilities will among others cover:

  • Operational control of the plant in terms of customer satisfaction, strict product quality standards, annual budgets and strategy plans, goal setting and monitoring for all plant areas, as well as ensuring that strict safety standards are implemented, monitored and lived.

  • Continuous improvement of plant cost structure, including identification of potential cost savings, design and implementation of cost optimization measures, and management of plant financials.

  • Continuous improvement through process development and standardization, supported by consistent application of - and management focus on - operational excellence measures and by giving the employees a deep understanding of the added value of standardized processes.

  • Maintaining and further strengthening a culture of cooperation, accountability, Zero Defects, problem-solving and innovation.

  • Representing the site to both internal and external stakeholders at different levels, both locally, nationally, and internationally.

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
You have several years of broad professional experience in management roles, with a preference for technical areas in a manufacturing company specializing in large composite manufacturing. And you have comprehensive experience of developing one or more plants and/or turnaround scenarios is required. Experience in a corporate field with a strong affinity with Lean Manufacturing and a culture of innovation, Continuous Improvement and Change Management is an advantage.

On the personal level, you are a confident leader and an inclusive individual who enjoys networking at all levels within and outside the Group. Strong stakeholder management skills are necessary; you are independent and self-motivated when acting in the best interests of the business, and you are able to handle demanding and culturally diverse situations. Cross-cultural experience is as essential as a business literacy of at least English and Danish.

You have an analytical and structured approach, and at the same time you can be hands-on and set a good example for the Shop Floor. Finally, we expect you to have a relevant technical college or university degree, combined with excellent business acumen.
