Do you want to ensure high-quality geotechnical engineering support for the development of offshore wind farms?
Join us and become Head of Geotechnical Engineering where you'll be responsible for an engineering department delivering a wide range of geotechnical engineering support related to the planning, development, design, construction and operation of offshore wind farms, including scoping and technical management of geotechnical surveys, establishment of ground models and preparation of geotechnical interpretative reports etc.

The department has 26 highly skilled engineers situated across offices in Copenhagen, Skærbæk, London and Hamburg. The Geotechnical Engineering Department is divided into three teams: Cable, Site Investigation & Assessment and Design & Installation. Despite being geographically separated, much work is carried out across the department, and there is a good working and social relationship.

Your key tasks will be to

  • ensure that geotechnical engineering support for our international wind farm projects is undertaken professionally and supports our strategic targets to drive down the cost of electricity and improve safety and quality
  • be responsible for people development and for planning, prioritisation and delegation of new assignments and projects
  • keep and support a good working and social relationship across the department and motivate employees in the department to achieve good results and ensure that they have the right competences and mindset to support projects
  • support value creation through innovative research and development projects
  • provide feedback to employees and follow up on employee development interviews/appraisal dialogues.

Your key tasks will also be to manage business relationships with internal and external key stakeholders as well as ensuring that quality processes are in place for all the department's deliverables.

Your competences include that you:

  • have a master's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or equivalent
  • have minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience from geotechnical engineering of offshore projects
  • speak and write English fluently and have excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey your messages smoothly and efficiently to your business partners
  • are a strong people leader with good management skills
  • are good at creating cross-organisational networks at all levels in a large matrix organisation.
