The Offshore Tools and Equipment organization has the responsibility to manage and deliver equipment to support installation projects globally. The team owns the full operational value chain; hence we are present in all main equipment decisions from scoping, design to execution of installation projects. A special effort is put on safety and securing high uptime of the equipment throughout its lifetime through an integrated feedback loop, linking the use of
equipment to preventive maintenance and continuous improvement programs.

For our Tool & Equipment team, we are looking for a Head of our Equipment Product & Project Management team. The scope of the task is to manage and optimize our portfolio of equipment projects towards successful delivery.

How to contribute to our vision?
As our new Head of Equipment Product & Project Management team, your responsibilities will include owning, managing and optimization of the entire equipment project development portfolio across all new wind turbines in development. You will be the turning point of alignment around key equipment stakeholders working across the value chain with the focus to deliver the equipment portfolio at cost and in-time for sourcing.

In addition to this, you will manage a competent and dedicated team of technical Project- and Equipment Product managers and ensure business success and satisfaction of the end customer together with professional stakeholder management. Finding synergies across turbine platforms for cost and CAPEX investment optimizations.

You are to secure transparency across the project portfolio on design progress and project spending, providing transparency for escalation and decisions together with the equipment business owners and drive transparency of cost together with technical project managers to meet overall cost and CAPEX investment targets. In the position you will work closely with the operational construction teams on equipment implementation to secure the best new introduction to our installation projects

What you need to make a difference

  • You have extensive experience in project and/or product portfolio management of a technical project portfolio with disciplinary / management responsibilities
  • You combine strong leadership skills with openness to input from colleagues, work to get the best out of your team and thrive with solving complex challenges
  • You hold an Engineering degree on Bachelor or master’s level or similar relevant technical education
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within technical project / portfolio management and / or similar process from R&D / Engineering. Preferably from the wind industry or similar larger scale industry manufacturer
  • You have strong analytical skills combined with the ability to communicate with clear and precise wording and possess strong stakeholder management skills and communicate across all organizational levels
  • You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing
  • Think safety first, when you perform your tasks
