Are you a leader who can energise our future portfolio of offshore wind farms?

Join us and become Head of Electrical Project Execution in Electrical Project Management where you’ll be functionally responsible for the recruitment and development of a team of up to 25 permanent or consulting electrical project managers, who are responsible for the delivery of the electrical systems work scope.

You’ll refer to the Head of Electrical Project Management and cooperate with the Head of Electrical Project Development & Product Line and the Electrical Project Management Specialist, making certain that the Electrical Project Management function retains the capability to ensure the integrity of the electrical system of our offshore wind farms and deliver against the company’s strategic goal of delivering 2GW of generation per annum.

Your key tasks will be to

  • plan, recruit and functionally manage staff and external consultants and electrical project managers on a daily basis
  • develop staff members’ personal and professional competences and undertake yearly performance and salary reviews
  • plan and execute the quality assurance of the department’s deliverables
  • maintain and develop concepts, tools, processes and consolidate and implement lessons learned
  • ensure continuous development and improvement of the department’s performance.

In addition, you’ll lead and coordinate with other managers on company-wide strategic objectives to enable new market expansion, while reducing cost and enhancing safety in our operations. You’ll contribute to the strategic and operational development of the Electrical Project Management function to ensure a high level of job satisfaction and motivation within the team.

Your competences include that you

  • are motivated through providing functional leadership to a team of high-performing project managers
  • have a good understanding of the construction of electrical transmission systems
  • have strong experience as a project manager on large multidisciplinary infrastructure projects valued in excess of GBP 500,000,000
  • have absolute integrity and operate in a fully transparent manner
  • have excellent communication and influencing skills and are capable of developing effective networks within a company and across the industry
  • are innovative and capable of developing solutions to problems.

As we operate in an international environment, you must speak and write English fluently. Ideally, you’re passionate about and skilled in developing the leadership and project management qualities of team members, and you’re driven to succeed and capable of making decisions with limited information. 

You should expect some overseas travel in relation to your work. However, we pride ourselves on having a strong family and life-friendly ethos and approach to our ways of working.
