Head of Electrical Inst. & Comm. supervision

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for the supervision of electrical and mechanical equipment installation and commissioning on our substations. The team will secure the quality of installation and commissioning of the scope within LV Power systems, high voltage systems, SCADA, and mechanical systems. You`ll work with several global business models to deliver on the scope. You’ll also interact with several key stakeholders and maintain a customer-focused ethos in your collaboration with O&M, Electrical Systems, and other functions.

Welcome to Electrical Installation & Commissioning Supervision department
You’ll be the Head of our Electrical Installation & Commissioning Supervision department, an international team of 30 people, based at our construction/fabrication sites in Europe, APAC, and the US. You’ll be part of an experienced management team with five senior managers besides two senior lead specialists in Substation Electrical & Commissioning management.

You, together with your colleagues, will lead highly competent installation and commissioning engineers to enable innovation, improvements, and co-creation of value with our customers.

You’ll play an important role in:

• supporting the EPC & Operations strategy to facilitate a viable transmission system, reducing the cost of electricity, and streamlining our business
• performing daily line management tasks and providing leadership, through recruiting, coaching, training, and developing people
• ensuring good cooperation with customers and key stakeholders, especially regarding providing skilled resources to different projects across the globe
• developing a departmental toolbox, following up on the department’s deliverables on projects, and responding as needed
• assuring the quality of installation and commissioning of the scope within LV Power systems, high voltage systems, SCADA, and mechanical systems
• building new execution models by managing frame agreement for the 3rd Party supervision, whilst developing your own team and overall functional area.

To succeed in the role, you:

• have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably within the field of low or high voltage power systems
• have experience with leading engineers and site teams across geographical distances in a strong matrix organisation
• have a passion for leadership and for the development of talented employees
• have a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks
• thrive in an international environment and enjoy working virtually.
