Head of 2-Stroke Retrofit Project Management

An important step of the way is to provide retrofit solutions to our clients, who are looking to convert their existing fleet’s 2-stroke engines to operate more efficiently and on more environmentally friendly fuels such as LNG, Ethane, LPG, Methanol, biofuels, or Ammonia.

Job Description
As Head of Project Management, you will be heading the Project Management department for large gas conversion projects and be responsible for delivering on our current order backlog by leading and developing our project organisation, as well as adjusting our strategy and processes to ensure that we are prepared to deliver on an increasing project portfolio in the future.

You will be leading a team of project managers / planners / product managers to deliver the projects on-time and on-budget while making sure that everybody are motivated to achieve ambitious targets set out by you.  Currently there are six direct reports on the team which, however, is expected to increase significantly in the future.

An Experienced and Visionary Leader
You will be surrounded by experts in numerous fields within the building and retrofitting of large 2-stroke engines. It will be an advantage to have experience with 2-stroke engines, though not a prerequisite. Your commercial understanding and mind set, combined with a substantial amount of experience with project management of large projects in the marine-, industrial or off-shore sector, is what will make you a success in this role.

You have a keen interest in developing the way we work with project management, and your ambitious nature is not settled with “good enough”. With your extensive project management experience, you are confident in your ability and methodology, enabling you to create a visionary project management strategy.

You are experienced in motivating both the group and also people individually. As you will be leading an autonomous group of people, you understand the importance and complexity of leadership, and you practice an “open-door policy” enabling you to create a trustworthy and professional working environment.

Besides the above, we imagine that our new colleague is:

• Self-driven with an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset
• Has strong commercial and technical knowledge from working with complex projects
• Able to communicate and on all levels in an international environment and be authoritative when needed
• Fluent in English both in speech and writing. The ability to communicate in a Scandinavian language is a plus
