Responsibilities / Tasks
Do you want to combine your recently acquired engineering skills with a challenging job in an international company? Then join us! We are looking for a new graduate engineer to join the APC Dairy Powders and Nutritional Formulae EMEA and Global Team located in Soeborg, Copenhagen. You will be a key player in ensuring that GEA maintain our leading position providing solutions and technologies to dairy customers worldwide.
The function of our team is most easily described as the integrator of equipment from many different internal and external suppliers to deliver a complete processing line to a customer, in our case a processing line taking concentrated milk and drying it into a powder. Our projects range in size from small scale up to the largest in the world processing 30 tonnes per hour of powder and having capital investment of 50+ MEUR.

Job profile
As a graduate engineer you will assist us with the process engineering of a spray drying plant. You will engage with many different stakeholders from customers, sales engineers, suppliers and your surrounding colleagues. You will also be expected to participate in the start-up of dairy plants on site; we see this as fantastic way to get exposure and quickly develop your engineering skills, fast tracking your career.
You will join a team of highly skilled colleagues having expertise in project management and execution of dairy production plants. Parallel to the technical training areas, you will also receive training in project management and GEA’s project model.
You should expect approx. 100 overnight travel days per year.

Personal profile
The position requires an all-round applicant, who has strong academic performance, charismatic personality, and an interest in the mechanical workings of equipment or process.
Our environment is fast-paced with multiple tasks to manage simultaneously, which requires that you work in a structured manner and are able to prioritise. You are attentive to details and you readily take responsibility for your tasks.
You possess professional integrity and follow through on your tasks to a high standard without losing sight of the goal. You enjoy working in a team, and you communicate fluently in English. It is a plus if you master a second or third language.

Qualifications
You have a relevant master’s degree in engineering such as mechanical, chemical or scientist of food technology
An additional degree in for instance Business Administration (HD) is considered a plus
Full professional proficiency in English and Danish are required. German is considered an advantage
