The Global Test Team in Offshore Operations is seeking a new energetic, ambitious and technically skilled Test Tool Developer.

The team currently consists of 6 Test Developers and 2 Test Supporters located in Brande, Denmark

How to contribute to our vision

The Test Developers are responsible for developing and installing test equipment in our production facilities worldwide. The team is also responsible for updating software and hardware for new releases and is supporting test equipment in relation to trouble shooting and in case of break downs.

The team efforts are contributing to the high-quality standards of SGRE towards our products and customers.

You will be developing new test equipment for our New Product Introduction (NPI projects) and New Plant Projects (NPP projects). Also you will support production facilities, you will perform updates of software and hardware and you will plan and coordinate other test related tasks.

Specifically, your responsibilities will be:

  • Specify, design and develop new test equipment with the responsibility of requirements for test equipment. Design and concept development will be in close cooperation with our engineer department and our subcontractors who are manufacturing the equipment 
  • Programming test sequences and reports in special designed software
  • Specify changes in test equipment and test procedures
    • Receive and evaluate optimization suggestions from test operators and local support functions in the regions
    • Trouble shooting on existing test equipment (software and hardware)
    • Maintain test equipment and test procedures according to test specifications
  • Design and validate test equipment according to local EHS standards and legal requirements in the specific region
  • Coordinate implementation of test equipment:
    • Conduct and coordinate FAT at the suppliers
    • Conduct and coordinate SAT at our production facilities
    • Perform run-in on new test equipment and major updates
  • Support Procurement with the appointment and selection of suppliers and technical reviewing
  • Analyze test data for optimization and preventive maintenance
  • Be a part of the global test phone support

What you need to make a difference

You have a background as Engineer, Marine Engineer or similar combined with experience in the development of production equipment (software/hardware). Further, you have an excellent electrical and mechanical understanding and a good understanding of hydraulic, gear and cooling systems combined with knowledge about control systems e.g. PLC systems. It will be considered an advantage if you are an experienced user of LabVIEW and National Instruments products.

You are an experienced user of MS Office including Excel and Access database, preferably alså SAP.

As a person you are energetic, result oriented and have a structured, detailed and quality-oriented approach to your work. You are a team player and you thrive in an international environment with many different cultures and nationalities.

You speak, write and read English at a high level.
