Global Technical Product Manager - End User Services

The position
We are looking for an ambitious Global Technical Product Manager, who masters product management tasks such as product specification, cross-functional coordination, close cooperation with Global Development, and supporting go-to-market execution.  

An important goal is to ensure that market requirements are met in new product development. This will require that you understand customer needs and the technology behind a solution. The position requires a systematic and structured approach and that you easily translate market requirements and roadmap milestones into concrete achievable specifications and actions. 

Your responsibility includes execution of roadmap plans and deep dive on specifications whenever needed to secure market focus, interaction with Global Development as well as communication with our sales companies to ensure optimal solution fit to the market. Coordinate and make decisions in the role as product owner during development sprints and project execution phase will be part of your daily work.  

You will be working out of Widex’s headquarters as part of a dedicated team that also consists of Global Category and Business Solutions Managers. You will mainly work in interdepartmental project teams in a matrix organization where collaboration across teams is key. You will report to the Product Management Director and you will work closely together with the Global Category Solutions Manager for End User Services. 

Essential duties and responsibilities:                                                                    

  • Driving on-time delivery of right specified product solution, incl. solution release coordination, identification, planning and execution of gap initiatives and improvements relating to commercial success for End User Services  
  • Product readiness for launch as specified in roadmap and market requirements 
  • Internal coordination of cross-functional input for product solutions and specification  
  • Support to Category Solutions Manager on relevant roadmap planning and execution tasks  
  • Analysis, follow-up and best practice sharing of category products in the market  
  • Proactively help to ensure input for support material related to both launch and whenever needed   

Qualifications
We expect you to have experience with software and product enablers e.g. wireless technologies like Bluetooth, a technical gene coupled with a commercial mindset. We want Product Managers with strong drive, documented interpersonal skills and a technical “gene” to understand the product portfolio both short term and on the road ahead.  You thrive through timely execution of plans and you measure your success both on your team’s performance and timely execution on the business performance of your product portfolio. You are result driven and capable of making decisions and following them through. You must have a personal drive and desire to grow in your job. 

You must have a technical degree with documented commercial experience, e.g. export engineer. You have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in product management and working with end user needs. You have experience working in the product owner role with agile teams preferably within Smartphone App development. Your experience comes preferably from the medico/technical industry and/or the software industry. You possess a strong technical mindset, you are detail oriented and structured coupled with a lot of drive and communication skills. Multitasking skills and facilitating skills are core in your profile. You are fluent in both written and oral English and you are used to work with Microsoft office package incl Microsoft Project
