The job
This is your opportunity to jump straight into an exciting adventure as you get to join our service organization, spanning 28 countries worldwide. We make sure first line service is trained and supported as the customer is central to everything we do at FOSS.

FOSS provides food and feed analytical solutions. The Wine & Beer segment is growing and so is our portfolio of bench-top instruments. To strengthen this, we are looking for a technically strong and experienced Global Support Specialist, to be part of our global Product Management team in FOSS Innovation Centre, Hillerød.

In Product Management at FOSS we are around 40 persons in Hillerød, Denmark and Suzhou, China. Our key responsibilities are product management, training of our service engineers globally and supporting our customer and service engineers with technical issues. Being part of the Product Management team at FOSS, means that you will be working with super knowledgeable colleagues in a great team atmosphere, and where we strive to be and act as one team – regardless of location, background and roles.

FOSS is a world leading and Family-owned company with a dynamic work environment with 1500 skilled colleagues around the globe of which 400 are in Service.

Your job is to support FOSS’ first line service engineers, doing service on our Wine and Beer solutions, used in our customers production. This requires production understanding as well as technical knowledge.

Primary task
You will be involved in development of new wine and beer solutions. Here you will be the voice of the service engineers. Furthermore, you will be responsible for service documentation, training of first line service engineers, and on-going global support of same first line engineers. You will be part of the Wine & Beer Product Management team but will also cover other solutions in other segments like Dairy. Our team includes Product Managers accompanied by helping hands from the Dairy Global Support Specialists and Application Specialists. You report to the Wine & Beer Segment Product Manager.

As Global Support Specialist you will be measured on your ability to support first line. Your responsibilities includes development and maintenance of service training modules and conducting on-going training classes. Travel to do local on-site support or training are to be reconed with.

Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in the role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Technical engineering education (Diploma Engineer or MSc) in mechanics, electronics, spectroscopy, food technology or similar
  • 3-5 years experience with supporting and troubleshooting analytical instruments
  • Service and B2B customer support experience within relevant industries.
  • Experience within the food or agri industry is considered a strong advantage.

You like to work on projects and at the same time handle several daily ad hoc tasks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills is an advantage and since FOSS is a global organization, it is a prerequisite that you are fluent in both written and spoken English.
