We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

In our culture of trust, we focus on empowerment, diversity and continuous learning. Valuing our people is what makes us one global team, with our colleagues’ safety at the heart of our organization.

How to contribute to our vision
As the offshore wind market is growing, we continuously need to acquire and upgrade equipment for our factories. Your tasks will be to define, specify, develop, test and implement manufacturing equipment. You will have your own equipment projects and support your colleagues with your specialist knowledge. Your tasks will vary in size and complexity, but the area of responsibility will be to design, develop and optimize our milling and drilling machine as well as deflection testing equipment.

You will work closely together with internal departments and the production. Design and concept development will be done in close cooperation with external engineering offices and our suppliers who are manufacturing the equipment. You will be the leading person throughout the project from initial brainstorming and concept work, through specification, selection of suppliers and manufacturing to testing, implementing and hand over.
Your main goal is to ensure that the equipment is delivered in time, within budget and according to requirements.

You should expect 10-40 travel days per year.

What you need to make a difference
You have a background as Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer, Production Technologist, Industrial Designer or similar. You have several years of working experience within design, technical specifications and documentation of manufacturing equipment – preferably from the wind industry or large-scale manufacturing.

You have skills and experience within basic project management, such as stakeholder management, coordination, time schedules, etc. You can maintain an overview while participating in several individual equipment projects simultaneously. Again, we are specifically looking for an Equipment Engineer who will handle the milling/drilling machine and deflection testing equipment, so previous experience with developing and optimizing large scale manufacturing equipment is a huge plus.

Expertise within (some) of the following areas will make you stand out from the crowd:

  • Safety, risk assessments, norms and standards
  • Mechanics, mechanics of materials, mechatronics
  • Hydraulics, thermodynamics, pneumatics
  • CAD, sketching, animation (we use NX)
  • CE marking, technical documentation
  • Quotations, price estimation, negotiations
  • Automation, PLC, robotics
  • Craftsmanship, hands on experience

As a person, you are extremely proactive, well-structured and enjoy helping others. You are a good communicator as well as a team player with a high proficiency in English – both orally and in writing. You thrive in an international environment with colleagues, suppliers and customers from around the world. Danish and/or French language skills will be an advantage.

In return of your commitment we offer you…
Become a part of our mission for sustainability: Clean energy for generations to come. We are a global team of diverse colleagues who share a passion for renewable energy and have a culture of trust and empowerment to make our own ideas a reality. We focus on personal and professional development to grow internally within our organization. Siemens Gamesa offers a wide variety of benefits such as flexible working hours as well as home-office possibility for many colleagues, employer-funded pension, attractive remuneration package (fixed/variable) and local benefits such as subsided lunch, health insurance, employee discounts and much more.

Empowering our people
In our culture of trust, we focus on empowerment, diversity and continuous learning. Valuing our people is what makes us one global team, with our colleagues’ safety at the heart of our organization.
