We are now looking for a Geotechnical and Jacking Engineer to spearhead engineering-related projects, ensuring seamless execution in offshore construction with a strong focus on safety and quality standards.

What will you do?
As our new Geotechnical and Jacking Engineer you will contribute to the planning and technical support of offshore construction projects with a focus on geotechnical and jacking engineering. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, ensure safety, and maintain high-quality standards while engaging with clients and stakeholders.

Your main tasks include:

  • Develop and optimize the jacking, piling and geotechnical engineering required for complex offshore construction projects using Cadeler jack-up vessels and equipment
  • Provide expert technical guidance on advanced offshore construction methods and equipment, specializing in geotechnical science and piling engineering
  • Direct and evaluate engineering and feasibility studies for jacking operations to enhance installation processes and resolve challenges for both jacked-up and sailing operations, collaborating with skilled subcontractors and internal resources
  • Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure efficient and seamless project execution
  • Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols, ensuring personnel safety and strict compliance with industry standards
  • Provide strategic support to offshore execution teams, facilitating effective communication between vessel crews and office teams
  • Oversee project-specific deliverables related to jacking and geotechnical subjects
  • Identify and drive opportunities for operational improvements, optimizations, cost savings, and innovative developments in equipment design and processes
  • Attend operations onboard the vessels when engineering support is required

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can convey complex technical information to diverse stakeholders. Motivated by working in multidisciplinary teams and seeing on-site operations, with a high level of accountability and a strong sense of ownership for assigned tasks.

We think you will be a good match if you possess the following:

  • M.Sc. Engineering Degree (Civil, Geotechnical or similar) and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Focus on renewable energy projects monopile construction will be considered a plus.
  • Have good technical skills and are familiar with AutoCAD, GIS and Geotechnical modelling software (e.g. Plaxis, Lpile, Apile or similar)
  • Experience in handling or producing offshore piling engineering and/or jack-up-specific engineering (SSA, LPA, etc.).
  • Experience in applying structural engineering principles to the design and analysis of jack-up structures, as well as monopile installation scopes for offshore projects
  • Skilled in developing and reviewing engineering and feasibility studies to optimize installation processes and address operational challenges
  • Ability to work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Effective in engaging with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to provide updates and address technical queries
  • Strong commitment to implementing safety protocols and overseeing quality control measures to ensure high standards and compliance with industry safety regulations
