Step closer to a career where you practice your geoscientific expertise to help develop and engineer new offshore wind farms

The Ørsted Global Graduate Programme is designed to unleash your potential and give you the unique opportunity of a fast-tracked career in Ørsted. We offer you an intense two-year developmental journey where you’ll learn from experts within your field and get international project experience, tools to drive innovation, and a strong cross-functional network with other talents.

The Graduate journey
Our Graduate Programme consists of two-three rotations, where you’ll solve business challenges, take responsibility for your own assignments, and engage in our day-to-day business decisions.

You’ll start in the Geological & Geophysical Assessments team where our focus is on building ground models and providing information of the geo-hazards and ground conditions to many different stakeholders in the wind farm projects. You’ll experience a close collaboration with colleagues who work with areas such as geotechnical engineering, geophysical surveys, subsea cables, geographic information systems and seabed mobility. The following rotations could easily be in some of those teams, and they’ll be selected based on your interests and career aspirations.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • assessing geophysical and geoscientific data from offshore wind farm sites and export cable routes during project development, and being responsible for technical deliveries to stakeholders
  • building seismic stratigraphy-based and geotechnically proven geological ground models in close cooperation with geotechnical engineers
  • integrating different geoscientific datasets, e.g., seismic, multibeam echosounder, side scan, geotechnical, and core data
  • developing workflows and implementing innovative new technologies and ways of working
  • aligning project-specific objectives, time schedules, and end-deliverables with stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you:

  • have a master’s degree in geology, geophysics, or geoscience from before 1 September 2023
  • are familiar with some of the following: seismic and seabed interpretation, seismic processing, sequence stratigraphy, coding, and machine learning
  • are motivated by solving technical challenges individually as well as part of a team
  • enjoy a highly dynamic workplace
  • are driven to innovate and improve, having a real impact on projects and processes
  • speak and write English fluently and have excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey messages to your stakeholders smoothly and efficiently.
