How to contribute to our vision
We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic person who is interested in challenges in the field of generator electromechanical design in wind power at our engineering head offices at Brande, Denmark. You will develop and support insulation design for industry leading permanent magnet direct drive generators for wind turbines. You will implement and validate your designs on test rigs and turbines ensuring that they operate smoothly and efficiently for the benefit of society. You are proactive, work well within a small team of like-minded engineers and capable of presenting technical ideas and concepts to a wider audience.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
The ideal candidate has a completed a Masters with relevant industry experience in an R&D environment, where you have pushed the boundaries of your organisations’ technical knowledge. You have an excellent knowledge of electrical machines and appreciate the operational requirement of your application, along with a proven track record of implementing your generator designs.
You are familiar with insulation technologies and experienced in performing relevant testing e.g. PD tests, surge tests etc, and experienced with EMC issues (causes and mitigations). You have experience doing electrical measurements in laboratory and in the field as well as experience working with suppliers in specification of manufacturing stators with appreciation of electrical steels and permanent magnets and familiar with relevant technical standards for rotating large electrical machines. You are familiar with MATLAB Simulink/LTSpice modelling and preferably Finite Element Modelling packages.
You have excellent written and verbal communication in English and a valid driver’s license.
