About the department
The Department of Bacteria, Parasites and Fungi, Section for Foodborne Infections, works with control of infectious bacteria. In the section for Foodborne Infections we are tasked with the national surveillance of foodborne outbreaks.

You will be part of a project team counting a bioinformatician, a computer scientist and another web developer. Additionally, you will be part of a multidisciplinary group of 14 people, counting bioinformaticians, microbiologists, veterinarians and food scientists.

About the position
You will be part of a small team developing a web application for the BeONE project, aimed at early detection and investigation of outbreaks of foodborne bacteria across Europe. The project includes expert collaborators at public health, food and veterinary institutes from across Europe. You will be responsible for a relatively delineated part of the project in close collaboration with the rest of the team in Copenhagen.

The position is temporary for 24 months from the date you begin.

Required qualifications
You have strong background in programming either by training (Computer Science, Bioinformatics or equivalent) and/or practical work experience (3-5 years relevant job experience), and proven experience with frontend (HTML, JS, CSS) development, preferably in a linux environment. Experience with bioinformatics, mongodb, dash/react, docker and HPC environments are all an advantage.

You can work interactively in a small team, while being able to drive your part of the project forward.

Terms of employment
Salary and appointment terms will be based on the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Federation of Professional Associations (AC) (overenskomst for akademikere i staten).

The position is temporary for 24 months from the date you begin.
