What are you going to do?
We at MAN Energy Solutions are working to deliver industry-leading digital solutions in support of profitable growth for our end customers, our operators, our licensees and for MAN ES.
Our digital solutions optimize performance, lower costs of operations and reduce emissions for our customers; as well as integrating novel decarbonization solutions of tomorrow such as ultra-efficient and clean hybrid solutions.

The opportunity as Full Stack Software Developer is key to the success of our Digital Strategy. You will be:

• Developing Data Analytics in the Maritime, but also Industrial Machinery and Power Areas, we have a healthy backlog waiting for you
• Creating new concepts that can start with the problem, follow up on the implementation and end with the deployment, for example, in the areas of stability analysis, predictions, scenario modeling and causal analysis
• Optimizing our tools and services in our analytics development environment
• Driving software delivery performance: increasing throughput by maintaining deployment frequency and reducing lead time for changes; whilst having a strong eye on stability through reducing the change fail rate and time to recover from incidents.
• Designing, building and continually optimizing the CI / CD, IaC and PaaS environment to drive operational excellence (availability, cost, fault tolerance, automation, performance, security, observability) within our cloud first approach using AWS

On a more professional (and technical) level, we imagine that you have professional experience in Software Development and Data Science. You may not yet have skills and experience in all the areas, but you are keen to learn and open to working on all these areas:

• Feels as strongly about team spirit as we do. In addition, you will enjoy learning new technologies and sharing your knowledge. Independent, motivated and goal-oriented action round off your personality
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills; they are an essential part of your DNA
• You have an excellent command of two modern programming languages, e.g.: Python, Java, C++.
• Know basics around machine learning and data science
• Have worked with Big Data frameworks like Spark – that will at least be a big plus
• Containerization, Kubernetes cluster setup and management using Rancher
• Various CI/CD pipelines, built on GitLab and Jenkins
• Experience with a broad portfolio of AWS infrastructure tools (EBS, S3, EC2, Elastic IP, Route 53, VPC) and cloud infrastructure management, Serverless experience - Lambda, Fargate, SQS is a plus
• Scripting and programming, especially Terraform
• Maintenance and configuration of EKS; bringing extensions to our components
• Monitoring and alerting infrastructures (e.g. Kibana or Grafana, underlying technologies)
• Linux administration
• Experience maintaining an infrastructure and ensuring stability while adding new features
• You are used to speaking English fluently and to collaborating, supporting and learning from team members
• Can convince even the biggest critics with strong communication

How is your new team?
We work in agile, non-hierarchical structures on applications and data-driven solutions used across the globe. Solutions that make a big impact on decarbonization. We are building a new team in Copenhagen. The new team will work closely with domain experts, for example, in our PrimeServ and Engineering teams in Copenhagen and existing teams across our locations. The team will take concepts that can start with a customer problem and end with products and services being in use. When customers see them, they should immediately know that they are what they want. The team will welcome your creative mind, your collaboration, your willingness to share your knowledge, to ask good questions, to challenge assumptions, to embrace new ways of working and your persistence to deliver.
