Full stack developer with a strong frontend focus, Workflow & Research Processes, Bagsvaerd
Novozymes has embarked on a journey to enhance business and scientific productivity through better exploration of research data across the organization. Our goal is to increase the productivity of the global science community by providing seamless and intuitive access to research data and state of the art data analysis and visualization tools.

To support us reaching our objectives we are currently looking for an ambitious Full stack developer with a strong frontend focus to join the Workflow & Research Processes department, anchored in Novozymes Research & Technology. We are a passionate and highly skilled team of IT experts and scientists who develop in-house data management systems to enable biotechnology innovation.

As a Full Stack Developer, you will specialize in extending and maintaining our specialized scientific data and research support platforms, which enables world class research. Our stakeholders are the global scientific community in Novozymes. You will be responsible for ensuring consistent, available and well performing applications, and participate in all aspects of the software development process. You’ll be involved in maintaining, improving and supporting our existing systems and deployment infrastructure. You will work in a SCRUM team with a clear goal of delivering platforms that enable great science.

In this position, you need to have

  • Master degree in IT, engineering, computer science or equivalent working experience.
  • Subject matter expertise in professional software development, experienced (+3 years) with focus on frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
  • Working knowledge of React, Redux, CSS frameworks, webpack, testing, REST/JSON APIs.
  • Familiar with Linux based development environments, git, CI, and relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
  • Ideally experienced in working with Perl, OOP/ORM, containerization, microservice architecture and larger codebases.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Collaborative and influential approach, with a strong customer focus and go-do attitude.

Furthermore, in order to be successful in this position, you need to be a team player that proactively participates in both individual and team related activities, and can communicate appropriately at different levels. Experience with working in a SCRUM setup is a plus. IT system administration, Bioinformatics, or IT Architecture is considered an advantage in this position. As our corporate language is English, we expect you to be fluent in both speech and writing.
