Karnov Group is the leading provider of legal and tax & accounting information services in Denmark and Sweden. They have over 40,000 lawyers, legal professionals and accountants in both the public and private sector who depend on Karnovs services to get their work done.  
 
Karnov has a dedicated in-house development team that numbers around 30 people. Their applications are mainly written using Ruby on Rails, but they use and are open to many different technologies including Python, React, Solr, Neo4j and Docker. Currently they are pushing towards implementing more of their frontend apps using React. Projects are undertaken by small agile teams of five or fewer and there’s a healthy mix of new greenfield work, as well as improvement of the legacy applications. Tools used include Github, Slack and Pivotal Tracker.  
  
Your responsibilities   
As a Frontend developer you will be joining one of their agile product teams, the Bridge Team. The Bridge Team enables Karnov’s editors and authors to write and enrich online content through a software as a service content collaboration suite. You will be creating and refining the workflows and tools in this suite that allow Karnov to serve thousands of customers with content every day. You will work directly with other developers, designers and a product manager on a daily basis. 
 
More specifically you will   

• Build advanced modern User Interfaces while working closely within a team  
• Shaping frontend architectural decisions and implementation across projects  
• Deliver well tested and well-crafted code while enforcing code quality guidelines   

Using mainly  

• React  
• Redux  
• Redux thunk and Redux saga  
• Jest and enzyme  
• (Moving towards implementing) Flow  
• SCSS, PostCSS, Flexbox, CSS3 Animations  
• Webpack   

Your skills   
Karnov is looking for a Frontend developer who most importantly is proficient in ES6+ and previous versions. Who has knowledge of the Javascript fundamentals and has experience with React within a Flux architecture. But also experience in implementing smaller instances of React in existing server-rendered applications. Its crucial that you are able to write maintainable CSS and have experience from a Unix based environment. Also you are expected to have experience with Unit, e2e, integration and testing that will be part of your development workflow.  
 
It´s also great if you   

• Have knowledge of Rails or similar MVC-based architecture  
• Are comfortable working with REST APIs. Does not shy away from cumbersome APIs and data types  
• Are an excellent communicator and collaborator  
• Are a competent pair programmer who can share knowledge effectively  
• Have a pragmatic approach with awareness of your customers’ needs and the problem you’re solving for them
