Key Responsibilities

Hands-on development of websites, which includes development of HTML/CSS and web pages based on wireframes and visual designs, and implementation of commercial and open source web technologies
Development of dynamic and engaging web functionality using JavaScript and scripting languages
Turn Photoshop files into animated, responsive web pages using HTML5, CSS3, or Web-based animation tools
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Work closely with design team as technology advisor to help guide project scope
Create re-usable components and code snippets
Develop animations, navigation, interactivity, etc., using jQuery or other JavaScript libraries
Thoroughly test your work on multiple browsers and mobile devices
Demonstrate effective communication with fellow team members and management
Rapidly prototype ideas in order to learn what works and how to elevate concepts to the next level

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Strong proficiency with HTML5, CSS & JavaScript and jQuery production (React bonus)
Familiar with JS tools
Wordpress and Weflow experience with everything from form development to page builders
Experience writing code from scratch
Responsive design experience, including Bootstrap 3 and hand-coded breakpoints
Experience creating graphics from scratch using Photoshop/Illustrator or similar software
Knowledge of web analytics and experience implementing and testing tags
Social Media and API integration
Experience coding within a Java environment
Experience testing and debugging work on multiple browsers & screen sizes
Thrive in a fast-paced working environment, owning deadlines and striving for efficiency
Familiarity with GIT, Jira, Redmine, or similar project management and issue tracking software
Working knowledge of design principles, typography, user interfaces, Web standards and usability
Familiar with interaction design and information architecture methods and principles

BONUS BUT NOT REQUIRED:

Any work with Node.js, SQL, Bootstrap, and React experience for specific modular web projects
Familiarity with web scraping projects and data aggregation
Backend development and database experience
API integrations
Experience with wordpress page builders
AWS and management of EC2 instances
An understanding of on-page SEO best practices
Experience building custom conversion forms or integrations
Experience building weighted calculators, quizzes, or web-based applications
