Saxo Bank is an award winning global market leader in multi-product online trading, and a fully licensed and regulated European bank.

The Job
We are currently building the next generation of our HTML5 based financial trading applications for traders and investors and are looking for front end developers that can help us delivering an unparalleled user experience in our business domain.

With a specific focus on low latency, reliability (100% uptime, 24hr/5.5days), and scalability and the potential for an order of magnitude growth in load and volume, our platforms currently support:

  • 10s of thousands concurrent clients globally
  • 100s of thousands of price updates per second
  • Thousands of trades and orders per second
  • Trading applications for multiple platforms and form factors.

So, if you have a fascination for bleeding edge user experience design, enjoy the challenge of streamlining complex application flows and information display across mobile and desktop, value rapid prototyping and in-browser experimentation, and are able to craft high performing JavaScript code? -  then you may be the right candidate for us.

The Role
You will:

  • Work with product managers, UX designers, and fellow Front End developers to design and deliver superior user experiences for Saxo's suite of trading applications.
  • Develop with the latest HTML5 web technologies
  • Construct prototypes to experiment, refine and communicate new interaction concepts and features.
  • Work in a dynamic team oriented environment using agile methodologies. Our objective is to deploy every day and learn on the way
  • Passion for front end development and a nice portfolio to document it
  • Experience with modern frameworks such as React and Redux
  • Familiarity with mobile first development and responsive design.
  • Creative self-starter with great team and cross-group collaboration skills.
  • Prior business knowledge or willingness to learn quickly about the financial industry, preferably electronic trading.
  • Experience creating documentation and well-commented code
  • Experience designing and developing for multiple form factors (mobile/tablet/desktop), across multiple platforms (Win/OSX/iOS/Android).
  • Experience with CSS preprocessors (LESS, SASS, Stylus etc…) and object-oriented CSS principles.
  • Active in the community through open source, conferences and social media.
