At our HQ in Ballerup, you will be joining our IT Service Management and Quality department, which is part of GN Shared Services. Here, experienced colleagues work cross-functionally, ensuring the quality of various processes and IT services across Group IT and GN, interacting with a myriad of stakeholders. Joining us, you will become responsible for our FinOps area and the optimization of our current and future Cloud set-up.

Optimize the usage of our cloud solutions
Stepping into this newly established role, you will be an important player in our cloud transformation journey as you help us understand our cloud usage and optimize cloud costs.

You will work closely with our Cloud teams as well as financial functions across our organization. Doing so, you will provide guidance in terms of which technologies and financial structures to choose as we transcend from traditional hardware solutions to increasingly consumption-based cloud solutions.

More specifically, some of your key tasks include:

• Defining FinOps best practices, establishing a road map for rollout of governance, process, and tooling
• Taking ownership of the FinOps operating model, continuously working towards optimization and automation
• Helping the organization understand cloud usage and cost through budgeting and forecasts
• Ensuring good data quality through improved cloud tagging in FinOps tools i.e., performing compliance checks, identifying untagged resources, and allocating spend to correct areas
• Showcasing the value of cloud usage optimization by defining and reporting against KPIs

Shape a uniquely GN FinOps culture
As our new FinOps specialist, you will not only be responsible for this important area, building it from the ground up – you will also be uniquely placed in a cross-functional position within Group IT, rather than being a part of an IT development department or Finance.

What’s more, you’ll have the mandate to challenge our solutions and make important decisions, granting you the opportunity to truly shape our best practices, systems and overall FinOps culture,” explains Kenneth Petersen, Head of IT Service Management & Quality.

Experience with FinOps tools
We are open to your background; you may have a few years of hands-on experience from a similar role or a background in IT Finance. Or perhaps you are a cloud architect with experience in cloud cost management. The important thing is that you understand the realm of FinOps and can see yourself operating within it.

Moreover, we imagine that you have:

• Public cloud experience (Azure, AWS) with good knowledge of hosting offerings and consumption models, and the value they bring
• Good data analysis and forecasting skills   
• The ability to guide and coach others using your outstanding communication skills
• Excellent English skills in speech and writing
