As Field Service Engineer for Freeze Dryers you are responsible for the mechanical maintenance of the complete range of freeze dryers and associated equipment. The installations are mainly in the food industry and vary from older more mechanical equipment to the latest highly automated range.

Your working area is worldwide and you are willing to travel and stay abroad during working weeks. The split per month will be approx. 75% on-site and approx. 25% admin work in the office in Soeborg , Denmark for preparation and administrative work. 

Your Tasks

  • The preparation and execution of the maintenance and service work
  • Mechanical inspections, adjustments, repairs and reports to Customer
  • Solving breakdowns, Service supervision
  • On-line and on-site assistance
  • Support to Installation & Commissioning of new lines
  • Support to Service offer and order handling
  • Support to GEA Region and Countries service organizations in service execution and knowledge transfer (training).

Your Profile / Qualifications
Your qualifications

  • You have at least a secondary education, Mechanical or Electrical
  • You have working experience with mechanical and electrical installations, within the powder process industry, is a preference
  • You can read and understand PLC code (preferable)
  • You have relevant automation skills (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.)
  • You are creative in solutions, with strong feeling for quality and safety
  • You have a professional and flexible attitude towards your colleagues and customer
  • You are communicative skilled, a team player and share information with others
  • You have a proactive and pragmatic way of working 
  • You are willing to travel and stay abroad during the weeks 
  • You can speak and write English.
