Fehmarn Belt Project Manager: Lead our activities on one of Europe's largest infrastructure projects

What's the role?
The Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link project is one of Europe’s largest infrastructure projects. As project manager for Hilti’s activities on the project, you will be responsible for developing close relations with Danish and foreign specifiers, contractors and suppliers on the project. The project has a strategic and international impact on Hilti’s operations, which is why your focus also will be on coordinating activities on the project in tandem with international stakeholders in the global Hilti organization.

What does the role involve?
As Project Manager, you work strategically to ensure that Hilti-solutions are chosen for key parts of the project, e.g. on the tunnel elements. In collaboration with our internal engineers, you communicate technical solutions to the client, specifiers and contractors, as well as implement them in cooperation with the clients on the jobsite through regular visits and facilitation of hands-on demonstrations. You will participate in drawing up offers, strategic negotiations and eventually ensuring the sale.

You will be part of our dedicated Major Projects Team, which works daily to secure that Hilti solutions are used on the largest jobsites in Denmark. Due to the size of the Fehmarn Belt project, and the early stage at which it is at, there is furthermore a clear opportunity to play a vital role in helping to shape and expand Hilti’s future efforts on the project throughout its duration.

You will receive exceptional training in everything from our culture and products to sales techniques and models. We work with a direct sales approach, focusing on providing professional advice to our customers. As part of your onboarding program, you will attend three weeks of training in Hilti’s solutions at our Regional Training Centre in Manchester, either physically or digitally depending on the current COVID situation.

At the same time, you get the freedom to influence and plan your workday, and you become part of a highly competent team that has a clear drive to win together. Further, you will have daily interactions with your team leader, who will be providing you with ongoing coaching and feedback, to help further your personal development.

As part of the job, you will receive a company car, so it is requirement that you have a driver’s license.

What you need is:

  • An educational background from the construction industry, preferably Building Constructor, Construction Manager, Engineer or similar
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience with sales is an advantage
  • You are good at structuring your workday and plan your activities
  • Experience with having international coworkers and communicating in English
  • It is an advantage if you speak Danish and/or German
  • It comes naturally to you to work together in a team to reach your goals
  • It is an advantage if you live on Sjælland, Lolland or Falster
