FEA Simulation Student Helper Position for Mechanical Development

The job
As an FEA simulation student helper, you play a central role in the development process and you will get unique opportunities to work with many different and challenging technologies. As a part of the simulation team you are expected to work closely together with local colleagues and sometimes colleagues in Hungary. The job will involve working on one or more projects to support design decisions with simulations. Starting with the project definition and solution strategy, followed by execution and presentation of results. You will closely follow a number of projects and represent the simulation team when needed to ensure that the simulation results are utilized in the best possible way.
Tasks include
In the position as FEA simulation student helper your tasks will be varied and include, but is not limited to:
- FEA simulations using Abaqus
- FEA simulations using Nastran In-CAD
- Data treatment using MATLAB
- (Might include) Web App design using MATLAB
- Report results to projects both written and verbally
- Assess simulation potential when presented with design problem
The candidate
You must share our passion for mechanical and technology development at a high level. You are committed to deliver quality simulations and communicate the findings. You are a natural team player and people like working with you because you have a positive mindset even when you are challenged. The preferred candidate currently studies mechanical engineering or other relevant field and has a minimum of 1 year left of education. Furthermore the candidate should have experience in the following:
- Structured and process-oriented work approach
- Good communication skills
- English language at a high level, both written and spoken
- Theoretical knowledge of solid mechanics and/or physics
- Experience with FEA Software (We use Abaqus)
- Experience with CAD e.g. Autodesk Inventor
- Experience with MATLAB or similar
