Ibsen is a global leader in design and manufacture of transmission gratings and spectrometers used by major global scientific, medical, industrial, and pharmaceutical instrument manufacturers, primarily located in North America, Europe and Asia/Pacific.

You’ll be part of an organisation that has more than six-doubled its sales since 2014 to more than 180 MDKK in 2022, and employs 90 people at our R&D and manufacturing facility in Farum, close to Copenhagen, Denmark. We have ambitious plans to grow the business further, and need your help!

The role of the Etching team
At Ibsen Photonics, etching in our materials is a core technology and competence. We continuously work to gain a deeper understanding of both equipment and processes. Responsibilities of the etch team include:

  • Commissioning of new etch equipment
  • Transfer of processes from one etch tool to another
  • Structure and improve surveillance and preventive maintenance
  • Support production of gratings on a daily basis
  • Trouble shooting and root cause analysis regarding etch issues

Your background and skills
We are looking for this type of profile:

  • Specific insight and experience with plasma etching of various oxides
  • Skilled engineer with at least 5+ years experience from industrial production
  • Hands-on and curious mindset regarding process development and understanding
  • Proven experience with DOE, SPC, preventive maintenance, transfer from R&D to production
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • A structured and fact based approach in your work
