You’ll work with robots on wheels – it’s way too cool

You’ll dive deep into your field of expertise, and really make it work
You will join a rapidly growing team of skilled firmware engineers, that work out of our headquarters in Odense. The team is responsible for developing microcontroller firmware for various devices in the robots, within areas of sensor interfacing, external IO interfacing, safety systems and others. But also supporting tools for building, testing, and deploying firmware, giving the team full end-to-end ownership of the full process.

In this role, you will develop creative and innovative software solutions to support an ever-growing number of robots. The work can vary from deep implementation to prototyping work, where both coding skills and architecture and design skill are put to good use. Collaboration both within the team but also with both electronics and other software teams. Specific tasks can be:

  • Develop firmware end-to-end with a focus on quality and maintainability
  • Work in and help drive a DevOps culture where tooling and automation is in focus, to ensure scaling
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other departments in cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Participate in architectural discussions in the team

You’ve got what it takes to fit in at the frontier of robotics
At MiR, we come in all shapes and sizes, and we cheer each other on. However, we do expect that you’ll bring the following:

  • 5+ years of experience from a similar position, working with development of products across software and hardware 
  • Proven experience developing C/C++ in an embedded context
  • Experience with git or similar distributed version control system
  • Reading and contributing to electric schematics to assist firmware development
  • Strong focus on quality, Unit Testing and debugging skills with tools like JLink
