Responsibilities / Tasks
GEA is looking for an engineer for technical project execution and technical project sales with five years or more of experience. The position is placed in GEA’s Chemical division where you will be a part of the Customer Lifecycle Team located in Søborg. The Customer Lifecycle Team is working with rebuilds, upgrades, and revamps of already installed drying plants like fluid beds, spray dryer, flash dryer, and rotary dryer for the chemical and pharma industry worldwide.
 
Job Profile 
As a Project and Sales Manager your responsibility will include everything from contract negotiations to the final takeover of the plant. You will facilitate the sales and lead the executing of the project and commissioning of the plant. You will be the first contact to our customers, prepare the quotation and sales negotiation, execution of the project, commissioning and finishing by handing over the final project to the customer.
 
As we are working with both costumers worldwide and other internal departments the ideal candidate has an open mindset and are proactive in terms of asking relevant questions when in doubt. 
 
The position will include onsite activities abroad and requires around 40 to 60 travel days a year. 

Your Profile / Qualifications
Your Profile 

You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar. You have minimum five years’ experience within drying technology as a project manager or engineer. From your educational background and experience you have gained knowledge within drying technology, technical know-how to design the modifications needed, and are familiar with quotations and sales activities.

In addition to the above description it is essential that you:

  • Have experience within sales or customer contact in order to negotiate contracts and scope
  • Have excellent project management skills and deliver projects on time
  • Are familiar with GMP when working with pharma plants
  • Like to work independently and can convey a message to other sales and project participants and the customer
  • Have good communication skills and understand the customer’s needs
  • You are used to work in a dynamic environment with multiple tasks and a large variation in workload. This means that you are good at coordinating and prioritizing your tasks and can handle working in an occasionally faster-than-average pace.

Finally, you are motivated to work internationally and have good English skills - both written and oral as our corporate language is English and all communication with customers is in English. Additional languages are considered an advantage.

The portfolio includes technologies relevant for the Chemical and Pharmaceutical industry as well as for the Food and Dairy industry. The Customer Lifecycle Team is an integrated part of the Chemical department sharing reporting lines and internal resources such as process specialist support. The team consists of six employees which are all experienced project managers and area sales managers.
