For our latest Offshore product developments, we’re looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic engineer (f/m/x) to drive developments in the area of transport and lifting equipment. You will join our New Product Engineering team in Offshore equipment with is responsible for designing all standard lifting and transport solutions for our new Offshore turbines.

The team is closely cooperating with the turbine development department, making sure that all new turbine components can be transported and lifted on time and on cost. We are also closely linked to the Sales & Execution organization, which takes care of all customer, country and harbor specific equipment. The team is based in Brande, Denmark with cooperation partners and co-workers mainly based in Denmark and India.   

How to contribute to our vision

As an engineer within Offshore Equipment, you will have various responsibilities including:

• Developing innovative and cost-efficient concepts for new transport & lifting equipment for the next generations of wind turbines keeping up with their steady increase in size and weight

• Checking existing equipment for suitability with new requirements and developing retrofit solutions if required

• Technical guidance of project teams of varying size:

  • keeping the overview of the full solution while breaking it down in reasonable packages for distribution to various internal and external engineers

  • Assuring coherent design & quality during design processes split out over multiple colleagues and locations

• Continuous cost-out activities for existing and new equipment designs

• Specification, review and approvals of deliveries, both calculations and final products, from internal co-workers and third-party suppliers

• Technical alignment with various stakeholders throughout Siemens Gamesa

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

• You have a university degree in engineering and proven experience with complex steel structures and machinery (incl. executing FEM & analytical calculation, while applying relevant standards)

• You have a holistic understanding of the entire design process from concept development to testing the final product, always striving for suitable and efficient solutions

• You have pride and fun to work in a complex environment with many stakeholders and daily changing challenges and shows inherent ownership feeling & drive to get things done and is never shy to take responsibility

• You are result-orientated, structured and capable of keeping perspective in the busy daily work in a project-oriented organization.

• You are able to work with a high degree of autonomy, in terms of finding or developing the right solutions to deliver to agreed timelines.

• You are interested in international cooperating with co-workers in Denmark, India and globally, which requires good command of English, both orally and written, while Danish language skills would be a plus
