Experienced Engineer to lead development projects within medical devices

About the department 
Device R&D, located in Hillerød, is an area within our Global R&D organisation responsible for development, design, functionality and regulatory approval of medical devices for self-treatment, supporting all business areas of Novo Nordisk. We have a long and outstanding track-record of developing the best, most innovative and widely-used drug delivery devices in the world. The Device Development team is a high performing team, and our aim is to develop innovative devices that add value to patients and Novo Nordisk. In other words, our obligation is to maximise the value of the current device portfolio within diabetes, growth disorder, haemophilia and new therapy areas. The team is an interdisciplinary group of hardware, software and mechanical engineers all aiming to advance the care of people living with chronical diseases. We are busy with bringing new products to the market and therefore, we are looking for new skilled colleagues to join our team. 

The position 
As our Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for leading development tasks including planning and coordination of our development projects. This includes contribution to requirement engineering, verification and validation, as well as being responsible for all phases from gathering input to approval, and the essential stakeholder interaction to drive activities forward. Your success will be based on your contributions to the execution of the project, the quality of your deliverables and your way of engaging with colleagues and stakeholders. 

Qualifications 
You hold an academic degree within mechanical engineering, and preferably you have previously worked with medical device development. You have minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience including planning and coordination of development activities. We imagine that you have worked with mechanism design and mechanical design of components and experience with the design control process for medical devices will be valued.    

As a person, you are energetic and thrive in a busy and changing environment. You are well-organised and can manage multiple work streams in parallel. You are a team player, but also comfortable with managing your own time and deliverables. Your strong interpersonal skills assist you in creating trustful relations with various stakeholders and colleagues, and you like to challenge status quo while focusing on solutions and opportunities.  

Proficiency in both oral and written English is essential.
