As a part of this role, you, and the team you will be part of, will be responsible for our Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) infrastructure impacting our whole Technology & Innovation (T&I) function. This infrastructure is central for our ability to deliver mission critical systems to our customers, primarily within national and NATO defense, to keep people safe via advanced technology.

Job description
Working out of our head quarter in Lystrup, you will be part of a small, dedicated Dev(Sec)Ops team focusing on common T&I infrastructure and the affiliated tool stack. The team works closely with IT and a C2 (part of T&I) DevOps team currently counting 6 employees (and growing), with primary competencies within DevOps, SW, HW, and IT. All play an important role in our CI/CD strategy and is responsible for the affiliated infrastructure development and maintenance at different levels.

Your primary tasks
In this role we are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer that is ready to be a part of our DevOps team within our C2 organization in Lystrup.

Your most important tasks will thus be, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain our CI/CD Tool-stack in corporation with SW leads.
  • Defining system infrastructure in collaboration with our IT department.
  • Develop and maintain scripted orchestration and provisioning of containerized virtual systems.

How to succeed in this position?
Ideally you have 2 years of DevOps experience from a previous job, e.g., working with system/software development or IT.

Need to have competencies:

  • Ansible - automation and scriptable orchestration and provisioning
  • Kubernetes - orchestration
  • Docker - containerization
  • Linux system administration
  • System architecture
  • Scripting language like Bash and Python
  • Implementations of CI/CD pipelines and tools

Nice to have competencies:

  • Source code management using Git
  • PostgreSQL
  • Persistent data using NFS
  • Automated testing and disaster recovery.
  • SW architecture and development
  • Jenkins or other similar software for automation of build, test, and deployment.
  • Gerrit or other similar software for code collaboration and review.

Most important personality features:

  • You have a mindset going in the direction of Infrastructure as code (IasC), Configuration as code (CasC), and shared services.
  • You are a team player, and you take pride in communicating actively and acting proactively towards your teammates and stakeholders.
  • You are open-minded and ready to listen and understand other people’s point of view.
  • Analytical and systematic approach to problem solving and ability understand and work with complex solutions.
