SDU Robotics is involved in a variety of national and European projects and features a strong network of academic and industrial partners. We are a team of appr. 55 employees, specialized in research and development of robot solutions for tomorrows applications within the industrial, medical and welfare domain. SDU Robotics is part of the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), and located at the main Campus in Odense, at the core of the Odense Robotics Cluster involving 130+ startups and established companies in robotics. We participate in implementing the achieved results in real solutions with end users such as Universal Robots, LEGO, Terma and Novo Nordisk.

SDU Robotics currently has several open positions as engineers in various areas within hardware and software for robotic systems. The starting date for the positions is expected to be 01.01.2023 or as soon as possible thereafter and will be agreed with the successful candidate.

Profile and requirements
We are looking for candidates to support our research activities. The task will be to contribute with advanced hardware and software technologies for our robotics applications within e.g. manufacturing of large products such as wind turbines and buildings and also for robotics within conventional factory automation. 

The candidates are expected to have most of the following qualifications:

  • Experience with developing hardware or software for robotic systems
  • Experience with automation hardware and software
  • Strong programming skills (e.g. in C/C++, Python, Matlab and Qt)
  • Strong mathematics skills and practical knowledge in 3D modelling
  • Ability to work independently as part of an agile team, with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Willingness to bridge the gap between academia and industry

Furthermore, the successful candidates have adequate communication skills in English speaking and writing.
