The successful applicant will get the opportunity to join the high performing Diabetes Finished Products (DFP) Microbiological Quality Control Laboratory in Bagsværd, Denmark. The department consists of 46 employees, organised in 3 teams. We are responsible for the microbiological analysis on marketed diabetes products produced in Denmark.The successful applicant will be part of the Support team, which currently consists of 7 academics, 4 laboratory technicians, and 2 student assistants. The prime task of the team is to ensure the department’s analysis, equipment and IT systems are performing and are in compliance with current regulations at all times. Our department is known for having a good and informal working environment. We take care of each other and we are very good in celebrating our successes.

The position

The successful applicant will specifically be a part of the equipment group in the Support team. The equipment group are responsible for implementing and maintaining all GMP critical equipment in the laboratory. Implementation of equipment includes installation, operational and, when necessary, performance qualification. Temperature mapping is often a major part of the qualification and all aspects is to be handled by you in close collaboration with the equipment group. The main project of the successful applicant could be to investigate suitable matrix solutions in which a temperature sensor from the Facility Monitoring System is placed. The matrix and temperature sensor are currently located in temperatures ranging from -80 °C to +60 °C. The successful applicant should also rely on, to a certain extent, to be involved in other projects in the department.The position also requires project planning and coordination to some extent, as several key internal as well as external stakeholders must be coordinated.

  • A Danish full time work permit is required

 Qualifications
We are looking for an intern with a passion for both hands-on work and preparing documentation according to current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements. You are currently studying for your bachelor of engineering degree in chemistry, chemical and biochemical engineering, food safety or similar relevant fields. We prefer if you already have general knowledge about key methodologies related to laboratory testing (statistical data analysis, calibration of equipment, keeping laboratory journal, etc.). We expect you to master both English and Danish, verbally as well as in writing, and that you possess the skills to handle and coordinate a large volume of tasks (with necessary supervision) and above all the sound personal judgement to make wise decisions.

As a person you possess a strong personal drive and dedication towards finishing the tasks to a high standard. Your strong interpersonal skills assist you in creating trustful relations across professions, and you bring a healthy sense of humour to your work – even when the pressure is on. We expect you to be service minded, that you thrive in a busy environment and that you are great at focusing on solutions and opportunities.
