Do you want to be at the forefront of innovation in connecting hearing healthcare devices to the world we live in? Are you interested in working with user testing, customer experience, and tool development in a cross-functional R&D Department that is filled with opportunity? Do you see yourself working in an international company that turns complex technology into user-friendly products that make a big difference for people living with hearing loss? If you are passionate about Engineering and would like to make a career in Denmark’s # 1 place to work for Engineers, according to Ingeniøren’s assessment in May 2017, then this is a unique chance for you within our Engineering Graduate Programme at Oticon!

500 million people worldwide suffer from hearing loss. Oticon is an international growing company within the financially stable medico-technical industry, and 98% of Group revenue is generated outside Denmark. Oticon empowers its +600 engineers to communicate freely, interact naturally and participate actively. Our engineers are committed to deliver high quality, high tech solutions using cutting-edge development tools. The whole development cycle happens within our organization, including the development of our in-house designed chipset and own production in Denmark and Poland. We are part of William Demant with more than 12,000 employees and revenues of over DKK 12 billion.

Engineering Graduate Programme
The Graduate Programme is a 2-year programme specialist track, during which you will explore the company and develop your personal and professional skills through four job rotations of 6 months.

As you progress through the programme, you will take on projects that involve shorter or longer stays outside of Denmark. The duration of the stay could be anywhere from a few days to several months, depending on the project, and you can expect to have rotations within e.g. various Research & Development departments, Product Quality, Sennheiser Communications R&D.

Throughout the programme, you will be working closely with your Host Manager to plan your rotations and enhance your professional and personal development as much as possible. A personal manager and a go-to manager of each unit will support each rotation. Former graduates will act as mentors to guide you through the programme and the corporate culture.

What to expect
You can expect rotations and tasks that are shaped in conjunction with what the business needs and what the graduates’ competences and interests are. Some of the tasks may include project management, role planning, competitor analysis, concept work, working with make or buy frameworks, and Product Quality Management.

Regardless of the tasks presented during the 2-year programme, one thing is certain - you will face a steep learning curve, with a high degree of responsibility from day one. In our flat organization, we will provide you with a holistic overview over our business, you will interface between a wide range of functions and you are expected to challenge status quo. You will be given a lot of trust and will be working on innovative projects, together with inspiring people, in an ever-changing environment, where your capabilities will be acknowledged.

During the rotations, you will also combine strong technical competencies, stakeholder management and communication to drive projects and build a coherent understanding of the business. After successfully completing the programme, you will have a possibility to embark on your career with a “Dream Job” in Oticon or another William Demant owned companies.
