We are looking for a new colleague with a keen interest in joining a team of quality conscious, critical and experienced engineers - someone who wants to analyse, validate and approve the quality of all our product types.

In short, we want someone at our side with a passion for working with quality in the developed construction as well as with the function and performance of the products. Someone who would thrive on being part of securing VELUX position as market leader.

Have we caught your interest? Then read on and apply.

Your challenges
You will be part of a small team of four ‘product auditors’ in PAV (Product Approval & Validation) responsible for technical analyses and verifications of new products while they are being developed as well as modifications of current products.

Working closely with project managers, technical specialists and your team colleagues, your main tasks will be to:

  • Analyse, validate, advice on and approve the functional quality and product quality of state-of-the-art windows, roller shutters and blinds as well as electrical products
  • Ensure that the product quality is incorporated as early as possible in the development process
  • Ensure that the specific project has an overview of requirement specifications, critical issues, verification plans, documentation etc.
  • Adjust to meet the timelines of the projects
  • Participate in the current development of the team’s own expertise, processes and tools

Your primary base will be in Hørsholm and you can expect to travel 10 - 20 days per year to other VELUX development and test departments in Denmark.

Your qualifications
You have a technical background as engineer or equivalent with considerable technical knowledge as well as extensive experience with mechanical constructions. In addition, you have knowledge and experience from product development. Good insights into electronics and soft-ware as well as knowledge of VELUX products will definitely be a plus.

You have the ability to be critical towards the products while still having a constructive mindset in your dialogue with stakeholders. Therefore, competencies such as strong collaboration and communication skills are ‘a must’. Further, you have an open and forthcoming manner.

Just like us, you have a great interest in ensuring high quality and people often describe you as structured with an analytical approach to task solving. You are patient but on the same time you are also persistent and do not let go of a task before it has been satisfactory completed.

On a personal level you are open minded, flexible with a healthy sense of humor and you see yourself as a self-driven and independent person with a strong drive, getting your energy from working in a knowledge intensive team based on collaboration.

As you will engage with stakeholders throughout our organisation, you must be fluent in English both orally and in writing.

Your opportunities
While working with one of the strongest brands in the global building materials sector, this position gives you the opportunity to influence the high quality of our products which is a contributory factor in securing our position as market leader.

The international setting is in our DNA and we have many different nationalities in the VELUX Group. We believe in empowering people, and we support this through sharing knowledge, delegating responsibility and investing in people who strive to make a difference.

You will work together with colleagues at a high professional level – colleagues who put extra emphasis into working as one team to reach our ambitious results. The team is characterised by an informal tone and respect for each other both as team players and as individuals.

The VELUX Group offers exciting challenges, great opportunities of influencing your own development with competent and committed colleagues where commitment, thoroughness and mutual respect are among the core values.
