Do you want to be a part of a market-leading company in the development of two-stroke engines for ship propulsion?

Can you imagine yourself working with advanced ship engines in a challenging role all over the world?

Can you imagine working deep into the engine room of ships assisting ship owners all over the world?

And can you imagine bringing back your knowledge and experiences from the engine room to the drawing board in Copenhagen?

Right now, you have the great opportunity to join the Operation department group “Dual Fuel Technology”, and work with the latest engine technology within the emission area.

What are you going to do:
As a Test and Development Engineer you will be assisting our customers on ships and the ship owners when problems with our hypermodern ship engines emerge. The knowledge you gather onboard will return with you back to the drawing board, and together with our R&D and design departments you will work closely on perfecting our groundbreaking technologies.

”Our engines are state of the art and are used to operate ships all over the world. In Operation, we work very closely with our R&D and design departments on software, mechanics and hydraulics. You will be given the opportunity to play a vital role in the refinement of prototype engines”, says Manager Peter Quaade.

Contribute to the development of green technologies
In our Two Stroke Operation department you will work together with around 80 highly specialized colleagues, who play a key role in our Engineering and R&D organization. You will be part of one of our professional teams, rendering technical support to our customers on their ships and to the ship owners.

  • Our Dual Fuel Technology group works with control systems, mechanics, and test and measurements focusing on the implementation of gas and other environmentally friendly fuels.

You will be testing and troubleshooting on groundbreaking technologies
Up to 120 days a year, all over the world, you will be travelling alone on short trips as well as in teams on larger assignments.

As a Test and Development Engineer you will be specialized within one of our teams while attending to all sorts of assignments. You will engage yourself in work with groundbreaking electronically controlled engines, driven by the latest environmentally friendly control technologies and some of the world’s fastest high-power electro hydraulic systems. You will therefore gain great specialist knowledge when you:

  • Follow up on new design from the office and onboard ships as well as in our licensees’ production
  • Install and troubleshoot on mechanical, hydraulic and electronic engine components.
  • Guide our customers via email, over the telephone or on site.
  • Participate in testing of prototypes, primarily with our Asian manufacturers.
  • Participate in meetings with engine builders, owners and sub-suppliers.
  • Contribute to R&D projects.

Engineer or Bachelor of Marine Engineering with an understanding of mechanics and electronics
Since all of our mechanical engines are controlled electronically it is crucial that you have a good basic understanding of both mechanics and electronics. You both like to have oily fingers or work in front of the computer, where you dive into technical drawings or communicate with customers. Finally, it is important that you see yourself in a very independent role where you effortless make important decisions on your own.

We imagine that:

  • you are an Engineer or a Bachelor of Marine Engineering with interest for and knowledge of two stroke engines
  • you hold some experience, but you may also be newly graduated
  • you are in good shape and you are flexible with working hours and travel activity
  • Seagoing experience is an advantage
  • You speak and write English fluently
