We are looking for an energetic Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer.

The job

FOSS develops state-of-the-art analytic instruments, and to ensure we always reach the best results, we have a strong team, not only to develop, but also to ensure the new instruments are introduced to production at the right level and have a strong validated supply chain to support.

The SQA engineer works across the entire organization, supporting the translation of FOSS needs into a strong well-founded production process at the supplier production. You will be an active participant in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), in corporation with the project leads and Project Sourcing engineers. Ensure to monitor the supplier portfolio, to give insights within the supplier’s production and measure capability.

Global Sourcing and running production are other important stakeholders. Your support in optimizing quality data in the production and leading the supplier complaint cases found, to ensure that counter measurement and root cause analysis is being conducted, and continuously ensure to optimize control plans, both internally and externally. Furthermore, you support risk mitigation within the supply chain, support change in portfolio, and the transfer of production parts.

You can expect a maximum of 20 traveling days when you have on-site visits to the suppliers.

Primary tasks

• Collaborate with key stakeholders in FOSS across departments
• Participate in R&D projects to secure DFM in new solutions before the products are released for final production
• Support the Global Sourcing team with measuring and planning improvements in the quality of existing and new FOSS suppliers
• Cooperate with our suppliers to develop and improve quality and production processes
• Solve quality issues origin from our suppliers
• Execute audits and supplier assessments according to plans

Qualifications

The SQA engineer supports a wide span of parts within many different technologies, e.g. Mechanical machined, sheet metal, optics, electronic, electro-mechanics, and chemistry. You have the ability to understand technologies that are not necessary for your primary education field, you have a deep understanding of some specific areas, but preferably been working with a variety of technologies.

You can come with education as Engineer, a relevant Bachelor or Master Degree, or similar but the most important is that you have a proven track record working with technical evaluation and problem-solving. Another important skills is that you know the world of sub-supply and sub-contracting, can see through processes and point out problematic stages in manufacturing, and support process improvement.

Since corporate language is English, it is a prerequisite that you are excellent in both written and spoken English
