For our client Secomea, we are on the lookout for a well-qualified electronics project manager who will be responsible for the design, production, and certification processes of industrial electronics for their range of Industrial IoT solutions.

Secomea hardware products are cybersecurity related devices, and the implementation of proper cybersecure practices both at the process level (design, production, support) and product (specific features: secure boot, TPM) are central to this position. They are implementing the IEC 62443-4 part 1 and 2, “Security for industrial automation and control systems” standards in our products and processes and thus, compliance is an important business requirement.

The position
You will have a key role in the further establishment of the Product Platform team, which is focusing on the development, production (suppliers, components, test systems, board traceability, self-tests), approvals, certification, and support (RMA root cause analysis) of Secomea hardware products. Together with your colleagues in the team, you will work with the full lifecycle of our hardware products.

Since the responsibilities of the team requires many technologically diverse systems and processes, it is not the intention that the team nor you will master all specialist skills, as these will be sourced externally when needed. Hence your virtual team will be much larger than your daily team as suppliers, external consultants and other partners all interact with you as the focal point.

Your responsibilities will be in the following areas:

  • Project management of design and development of IIoT gateways and edge devices
    • Project management of new designs and changes to existing
    • BOM
    • Supplier management together with Supply chain (design suppliers, production suppliers, component suppliers etc.)
    • Technical file management for CE, FCC, UL and others
    • Customer/Private label customers requirements and RFP handling
  • Producing IIoT gateways
    • Production flow design – test systems, integration with Supply Chain systems
    • Quality management
  • Supporting and Maintaining IIoT gateways
    • Tech support for suppliers, collocated production (final assembly) and Supply chain
    • RMA processes with Support

Your team works closely together with other R&D development teams. The teams are working with an Agile mind-set and is exploring how to work together as effectively as possible while having fun. It is important that you come with an open mind-set to actively participate in this process. Equally important are the close cooperation with the production and logistics teams as you will be their daily technical go-to person.

Your background
You have an engineering background and project management experience within electronics design and manufacturing. In addition, you have experience within one or more of these areas:

  • ARM based SoC and boards
  • WiFi/3G/4G wireless communication
  • Supplier management
  • CE/UL technical files
  • Quality management

It is also important that you are interested in working with and learning about the areas that you are outside your formal background or experience.
