Do you want to solve problems and make prototype solutions? And are you ready to use your brilliant engineering skills to design hardware and software interfaces for customers around the globe?
Then join us to become the direct link to our customers as you make our state-of-the-art equipment interact with their communications devices. Doing so, you get to work very independently while at the same time becoming part of a small team that works closely and cross-functionally to get the job done.
Join a pioneering team of dedicated specialists
Falcom is built on GN’s foundation as a global leader in intelligent audio solutions. We create advanced hearing protection solutions that allow special operations, military, law enforcement and security personnel to communicate in the most extreme environments – all while providing world-class hearing protection.
You will be part of a small independent team of international software, hardware and mechanical engineers. We develop sophisticated software and hardware for low power communication solutions that enable our customers to hear more, do more and be more than ever thought possible.
Take charge of integration in the field
As our new hardware engineer, you will directly impact how our equipment interacts with our users’ communications devices in the field. Doing so, you will work closely with both customers and colleagues in R&D, Sales and Operations.
In short, you will be a key player in developing and designing prototype interfaces and guiding these through to production. This includes working with radios, intercom systems and data devices at the users’ location as well as in the office. In this role, you will be required to:
- Design and build analog/digital electronics
- Develop connection interface documentation
- Rework and debug prototypes in the field
- Adjust audio profile software to achieve optimum results
- Document your work
- Travel (+20 days/year
Design interfaces and feel the entrepreneurial spirit
We are a small cross-functional team, and you will immediately find that solving tasks is a joint effort. We work independently and in teams as needed, and together we navigate in a project-oriented development culture, collaborating with colleagues across GN.
“It’s a very interesting position. You’ll have a lot of autonomy, and you get to travel, experience different cultures and work with all aspects of FalCom. It really is a great opportunity,” explains hiring manager Colin Argue.
Experienced and innovative electronics engineer
You are meticulous and systematic in your approach to your tasks. Also, you are known as a team player who is focused on achieving high-quality and innovative solutions.
In the face of challenges, you know how to maintain a positive outlook, and you are willing to challenge those around you when you see room for improvement. You are comfortable with shifting priorities and willing and able to travel on short notice.
Moreover, we expect you to:
- Have a degree in electronic engineering or similar
- Preferably bring 3+ years of experience in electronic development
- Have experience in creating schematics and wiring diagrams
- Have experience with audio electronics
- Preferably have experience with tactical radios and knowledge about IP networks
